My name is Tomás, but some people call me Mashi and others Mashyan.
I am Portuguese and I was born in 1988. When I was a kid I had a strong interest in religions and spirituality, but as I grew up that connection went away. Many years passed, I took a degree in Marketing and I was ready to find a job, when suddenly I was diagnosed with a strange disease called Meniere Sindrome, and that was exactly the turning point. God was calling me again and I had nowhere to go. In 2012 I went to live in USA, New York, and I started to go deep in Yoga, my life was changing very fast and I was feeling re-borned.

I left NY and went down to Mexico, where I spent some months travelling and living in a Yoga Community called Hridaya Yoga. After Mexico, at the beginning of 2013 I went to India, a dream come true...In mother India I spent 5 months travelling, taking TTC's (Yoga Teachers Training Course) in Rishikesh and living with the babas in Varanasi for a while. I also made it to Nepal to climb alone the Himalayas (Anapurna Mountain).

After all that I returned again to Mexico to learn more about meditation, mainly Hridaya Meditation and again to India to take more TTC'S and also for Vipassana courses.

I'm a Yoga Alliance registered Yoga teacher with 750 hours certificate, and nowadays I teach Yoga in different places..

In 2015 I created the project "Little Buda" that consists in taking meditation to schools. In 2016 I wrotte a book called " O Pequeno Buda - why should we teach meditation to kids". The project has now many schools involved, around 5000 kids are doing the meditation in the class-room everyday.

I also guide and organize silent retreats, a profound experience towards the inner self.
